Persistence tested in light-switch task
Published Tuesday, Jun 10 2008, 20:03 BST | By Sarah Rollo

Housemates were dressed in metallic jumpsuits and plimsolls as they lined up to hold light fittings above their heads.
Failure came when they let go of the equipment, prompting a bulb to flash on and off.
Stephanie was the first to walk away from the task after just a few minutes. Others followed before Mikey was disqualified for failing to undo a Velcro strap on his board.
At one point, Mario accused Dennis of cheating, which he fervently denied.
Dennis, Lisa, Mohamed and Rachel were the last four standing, having significantly outlasted the others.
Mohamed was the next to bow out and Lisa followed about an hour and three quarters into the task.
Victory was finally bestowed upon Dennis and Rachel, who collapsed on the ground in pain and triumph.
