Alexandra quits task over painful shocks

Alexandra quit the shopping task this afternoon after telling disappointed housemates: "I can't take it."

In order to win a luxury shopping budget of £5 per head, per day, the group had to endure painful shocks caused by muscle-stimulating suits.

Dennis and Rachel were given two hours to guide a wand down a metal track without letting it touch the sides. Each task failure resulted in painful shocks for the other housemates.

Both Rebecca and Kat were in tears from the pain, but Mario was quick to point out that they should not be judged because "everyone's pain threshold is different".

After receiving ten shocks, Alexandra refused to continue and removed her suit, incurring one of the group's three fails.

"We can get loads of rice and pasta on a basic budget and I'll deal with it," she said. "This is just too much."

The result of the task is yet to be announced but if the group lose, their budget will be slashed to just £1 per head, per day.
