Lasance to star in new TV adaptation
Todd Lasance has been offered a role in a new Australian mini-series.

The Home and Away star, who recently announced that he was leaving the soap after being arrested for cocaine possession at the Channel 7 Christmas party, wil play central character Quick Lamb in a television adaptation of Tim Winton's acclaimed novel Cloudstreet.

After Lasance's agent confirmed the casting, an unnamed former Seven colleague told The Daily Telegraph: "This really is great news for Todd because what's been lost in all of this is that he is a very good actor and this will give him a chance to prove that."

Filming of the drama begins in Perth next week and will also star Stephen Curry, Geoff Morrell, Kerry Fox and Emma Booth.

Lasance was placed on a good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to possession of drugs in court last week.
