Former contestant Michael Barrymore will act as a roving reporter on the magazine show, which will deliver the latest news from the reality programme.
Lamb, who fronted this summer's series, revealed that he is looking forward to his return.
"I've really missed it," he said. "I love going live every day, it's an incredible buzz. I felt like we'd just got the show firing on all cylinders and then we had to stop. It's going to be great fun seeing everybody again, finding out who's going into the house and picking up where we left off."
The presenter, who also revealed that he would love to see Jeremy Kyle enter the house, claimed that Celebrity Big Brother gives viewers a close look at people in the public eye.
"I guess it just breaks down some of the barriers and the mystique of celebrity and allows us to see behind all the nonsense," he said.
Celebrity Big Brother begins on Friday, January 2 on Channel 4 at 9pm.
