The reality show was rested following the racism row which sparked outrage in 2007, but will finally make a comeback on the network later this week.
Around 45,000 people complained about the way Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was treated by Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara on the programme last year.
"There's never been a case of sanitising Big Brother," explained David Williams, Channel 4's commissioning editor.
Confirming that new systems have been established for the new series, he continued: "We've got procedures in place so we can cope with any eventuality."
Meanwhile, Big Brother's creative director Sharon Powers claimed that viewers may still be surprised by the lineup of contestants, despite a number of participants appearing to be revealed by the press in recent days.
She said: "Not all the rumours about who is going in the house are true."
