The former presenter of The Word was called to the Diary Room and told that he would receive luxury quarters and special privileges, including immunity from the first eviction.
The 11 housemates had earlier learned that they could baggsy one of the ten beds by placing their suitcase on it. However, Davina later revealed that the last person to attempt to claim a bed would be crowned the first famous Big Brother Head of House.
A suite marked private bedroom was earlier noted by Verne, who asked if it was "some kind of reward". "No it's for whoever claims it and I put my bag on it," said La Toya.
In the Diary Room, Terry was told that he had displayed civilian qualities and shown himself to be a "mere mortal" by not claiming a bed. His luxury quarters include an en suite bathroom, unlimited hot water and permanent access to the hair dryer and hair straighteners.
