Lloyd calls for 'Big Brother' axe

Danielle Lloyd has called for Big Brother to be axed once the current celebrity series is over.

The glamour model claimed that the Channel 4 reality show should face the chop after losing its appeal in recent years.

Speaking to Hot TV magazine, she insisted: "It's so tedious now, they should put it to bed. It's just the same old thing every year."

The 25-year-old starred on Celebrity Big Brother's fifth series two years ago. The show proved to be the most controversial to date, sparking thousands of complaints from viewers who believed that Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was being bullied by Lloyd, Jade Goody and Jo O'Meara.

Show host Davina McCall recently admitted that she does not know if Big Brother will still be on the air in three years' time.
