Tommy past first base in challenge

Tommy has made a positive start to his baseball challenge from Big Brother.

As part of a day of America-related tasks to celebrate the inauguration of President Barack Obama, Tommy must hit at least one of three baseballs pitched to him every time he is called to the garden.

The first time he was summoned he managed to strike one of the three baseballs.

Coolio and Verne took a short moment out from their own task to help Tommy with his batting stance.

"Well done," Coolio said after the first leg of the baseball challenge was over, though Verne warned Tommy to make sure he keeps his shirt tucked in or he could fail the task.

Meanwhile, Ulrika and Terry are preparing themselves for a pie-eating contest, where they must eat a whole cherry pie without the use of their hands within 30 minutes.

Big Brother has also opened up the task room for Ben and La Toya to practice their bucking bronco cowboy challenge.
