Terry and Ulrika take on American pie

Terry and Ulrika undertook their pie-eating challenge as part of the American shopping task last night.

Both celebrities had half an hour to eat an entire pie each - and were not allowed to use their hands.

As Big Brother announced the start of the contest, Terry went face-first into his pie and Ulrika followed soon after with hers.

The other housemates took the opportunity to joke about their situation.

Ben said: "You're not allowed to eat after six o'clock. No carbs!"

As Coolio chatted about the challenge, Terry asked: "Haven't you got to get driving somewhere? Haven't you got an appointment at Sturges?"

"On yer bike," said Ulrika, with a face full of pie.

The pie-eating pair carried on with their task in front of a US-flag backdrop, as Ben noted: "We don't have food eating contests here."

Terry said to Ulrika: "I don't think the crowd are very supportive."

Before the task began, Ulrika had hoped that the thick pastry would take away the sweetness of the fruit filling.

Terry complained that pastry gives him indigestion, prompting Ulrika called the men in the house "such a bunch of women".
