The actor and TV presenter competed in the 2005 series of the reality show, finishing in fourth place behind Blazin Squad's Kenzie, Brigitte Nielsen and Happy Mondays dancer Bez.
Speaking about how the show compared with appearing on ITV's Dancing On Ice, Edwards dismissed his time in the house as "a mistake".
"I know [Dancing On Ice] is reality TV, but in my mind its not," he told Digital Spy. "This and Strictly are proper competitions, where you have to work really hard. Going into a house or a jungle, its not the same."
He continued: "[Big Brother] was a mistake, but you live and learn. This wasn't a mistake and in my mind, I've come away a bloody good skater.
"There's no comparison. That was a nonsense and this was brilliant."
