According to The Mirror, the troubled sports star has been offered £100,000 by producers to enter the Channel 4 show.
Gascoigne, 42, has fought public battles with alcohol and depression in the past. Last year, he was sectioned twice under the Mental Health Act.
He has also been linked to a possible appearance on ITV1 reality series I'm A Celebrity....
Other celebrities rumoured to be taking part in the final series of Celebrity Big Brother in January include Lindsay Lohan, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Kerry Katona.
