Katona 'deemed mentally unfit for CBB'

Kerry Katona has reportedly been rejected from the final series of Celebrity Big Brother after failing psychological tests.

The former Atomic Kitten had been in secret talks with producers and had sailed through the show's interview process, reports The News Of The World.

A friend said that the 29-year-old star had been banking on the £250,000 cheque for her appearance, with reports suggesting that she faces real-life eviction in the New Year.

"Kerry is heartbroken - it's the first offer of work she's had in months and she's failed it because she isn't mentally well enough," the friend said.

"She has bipolar disorder but controls it with medication. When she came back from the interview with the psychiatrist she thought she'd done really well. But when Kerry got the call saying the deal was off, she was horrified."

Boy George was also denied entry to the celebrity house after courts refused to change the terms of his probation. The former Culture Club singer was released after four months of a 15-month sentence for imprisoning a male escort.
