Discussing his current status in the press, Vinnie accused him of trying to grab headlines.
"Are you worried that if you don't say you're a cross-dresser and a gay and all that, you're not going to be front page?"
"I don't want to be front page," responded Alex, to which Vinnie replied: "Then stop saying it, dude."
"I'd like to be front page for something great, but not for that," Alex said.
"What I'm saying is, you're not really defending it, you know what I mean?" Vinnie continued. "We've all been to fancy dress dos, but we don't all come out and say we're cross dressers."
"I keep quiet, I keep private. Somebody else hasn't," said Alex.
Vinnie told him to stand his ground, adding that he was "as much a crossdresser as the rest of us".
The comments arose as housemates gave Alex career advice.
