The horse racing pundit, who participated in the 2005 series, said that he is constantly speaking to fans who are confused over the decision to axe the show.
Celebrity Big Brother's current run is expected to be the last following Channel 4's decision to end its association with the franchise. The regular summer series will also air for the final time on the broadcaster later this year.
However, speaking on Live From Studio Five, McCririck commented: "I must say, I've never had so many people coming up to me saying, 'My gosh, why is it going?'. Lots of people hate it, but there's a lot of people asking why it isn't going on [and saying] this is the best series they can remember.
"I think Channel 4 should think about bringing it back. It's got their highest viewing figures still. Why deny people?"
Celebrity Big Brother is currently pulling in around 3m viewers per night on Channel 4.
