The 46-year-old had one hour to take photographs that matched five Big Brother news stories - 'Get Hoff Me!', 'When Paddy Met Sally', 'Storm in a D-Cup', 'Love is in the Air' and 'Oh Brother Where Are Thou'.
The housemates were called to the living room area where they were told of his secret task, and were then shown his news stories on the TV screen, including a shot of Amy Childs with the 'Storm in a D-Cup' headline.
Lyons told his fellow housemates that he was "s**tting" himself while carrying out the task, and that he was nearly caught out by Jedward.
Big Brother announced: "Darryn did get the shots for Big Brother, even though he was the least subtle pap Big Brother has ever known."
Lyons therefore won the group a special pap party later in the evening.
