The 19-year-old twins, real names John and Edward Grimes, announced during a task with Marco Pierre White over the weekend that they couldn't risk their quiff hairstyles being ruined because they are worth so much.
Before entering the Big Brother house, John had insisted that he had not taken out a policy on his hair, saying: "People have advised me to insure [it], but I haven't because I feel I'm not vain."
They have also said that they "want to go to India, to South Africa" just "to teach everyone around the world how cool this amazing hairstyle is".
Jedward are still in the Celebrity Big Brother house following housemate Sally Bercow's eviction on Friday night. After discovering that they would be awarded a luxury shopping budget this week, the brothers exclaimed: "Yay! More hairspray! More hair gel!"
In 2010, the twosome threatened to shave their heads, saying: "We're going to have a change. Go to the barber's and get it all shaved off. We might get in trouble but we like breaking the rules all the time. We'll definitely do it."
