Celebrity Big Brother: Rhian Sugden denies sex texting Vernon Kay

Celebrity Big Brother star Rhian Sugden has denied claims that she sent sex texts to Vernon Kay.

Kay admitted to exchanging "racy" messages at the time, with a newspaper deeming them "too explicit" to publish.



However, the glamour model told Jasmine Lennard that the pair were just friends.

"We spoke as friends. We were just friends - but we spoke too much," Rhian said. "I never sent a sex text. I never sold a story."

Jasmine went on to question Rhian about a direct quote she had read in the press. Rhian previously told the tabloids that she regretted sending flirty texts to the presenter and had faced a public backlash over her behaviour.

Rhian insisted that the quotes were taken from a Twitter account that doesn't belong to her, adding that Kay is "too old" for her.

Rhian also revealed that she was nervous about entering the Celebrity Big Brother house because Coleen Nolan is friends with Kay's wife Tess Daly, who was "extremely upset" about the incident.

She added that living with Samantha Brick is "awkward" because the journalist wrote a negative article about her prior to the show.
