Celebrity Big Brother 2 winner Mark Owen has signed a 5-album deal with record label Universal, according to The Sun today.
Mark has been out of the music industry for almost five years after being dropped by RCA but following the success of his stint on BB in December, record executives were desperate to sign him up again.
"It?s great ? I signed a deal," he said. "I?m really excited and people are going to be surprised. I just want to get my music out there."
Mark has already recorded "dozens" of songs, including one called 'Four Minute Warning' which could be a potential first single. His first album is being planned for an August release, following on from his first single May.
Jonathan Wild, Mark's manager, said: "He has loads of songs ready to go. It?s a great deal and the label were interested in him before the whole Big Brother thing so it?s about the music ? not his success on the programme."
