Tempers flare after task twists revealed

Initially the pair were led to believe they had failed their secret mission after Big Brother confirmed that the group had failed two of the three banking tasks.
Shortly after, however, the group gathered at the dining table where Maggot read aloud details of the real task, confirming that the housemates had actually passed.
Although shocked, Chantelle and Preston began to laugh when they realised the joke had really been on them. "You bloody bankers!" she exclaimed. "Yous lot were all trying to mess out heads up and it was yous all along?"
With the truth out in the open, Pete went immediately on the offensive, attacking Chantelle in particular for lying. "It's a great character reference," he told her. "You elaborated on a lie you needn't have told."
Somewhat predictably, Chantelle protested that lying was fundamental to the task: they had to lie in order to keep what they believed to be the "real task" a secret.
Pete's bone of contention, however, was that the pair could have simply refused to talk about what they were up to instead of inventing false reasons for being in the diary room. "There is a sneaky, vile, vile potential in your character," he said. "[You should] keep schtum, don't say anything."
"We weren't allowed to imply that it was secret," Preston revealed, adding that they had asked Big Brother if they could simply deny all knowledge but were prevented from doing so.
George, meanwhile, took the opportunity to expose what he perceived as Preston's hypocrisy.
"I think who's the cheat in this picture will be vividly evident to everyone watching this programme," he declared, puffing on a cigar.
Turning to Preston, he added: "Have another swig of pink champagne. You're a sneak and a liar and you're exposed to the whole country as a sneak and a liar."
