Preston hooked on 'zombie' pills - report
Published Monday, Sep 25 2006, 16:51 BST | By Dave West

The Celebrity Big Brother and Ordinary Boys star apparently realised he had done serious damage to himself and the room when he woke up with blood on his face and pillow.
Friends and bandmates have put the incident, at Birmingham?s Malmaison hotel, down to the singer's overuse of zolpidem pills which he has reportedly been using for three years to ease a sleeping problem.
"Preston was amazed when he found blood on his pillow and saw what he had done to the room," a friend of the star told The Sun. "He must have been sleep walking because he has no idea what happened. The pills can turn people into hypnotic zombies ? that?s what must have happened."
Bandmate and good friend of Preston Will J Brown said the group were trying to support him in getting off the drug. He explained: "We?re worried what?s going to happen to him next."
"He's been taking these tablets for too long. It?s getting to a dangerous stage where he is clinically addicted to them. As a band we are trying to wean him off them but it isn't easy. We're now going to have to get help from outside."
