MP calls on C4 to take "urgent action"

Keith Vaz, the MP for Leicester East, has called on Channel 4 to take "urgent action" over Celebrity Big Brother.
The former Minister for Europe has tabled an Early Day Motion - a platform for MPs to emphasise matters they consider important - calling on producers of Big Brother "to take urgent action to remind housemates that racist behaviour is unacceptable."
However, the EDM is unlikely to be debated in the House of Commons itself; EDMs are rarely debated unless they receive signatures from at least half of all members of the House.
