Ken Russell comments on CBB furore

Ken Russell has described Jade Goody and her family as "terrorists".

The film director walked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house in January shortly after Goody arrived with her mother Jackiey and boyfriend Jack Tweed: "The terrorists, as I call them," he explained in an interview with The Guardian.

Russell continued to follow the programme after his departure from the house and was shocked at the treatment of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty by Jade, Jack, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara.

"What disappointed me was the fact that all the people who seemed to have some guts gradually caved in and didn't stand up for the Bollywood actress," Ken said. "They sat on the fence and watched her being trashed by these guttersnipes."
