Andre hits out at Chantelle, Preston split

Peter Andre has hit out at Chantelle and Preston's split saying that they never should have married in the first place.

Andre met his wife Katie Price on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! but said that their relationship was always based on love and not fame.

In a column in New magazine he said: "I wasn't too surprised to hear about Preston and Chantelle's split last week.

"Falling in love on a reality show isn't the same as falling in love in real life and not everyone can make the relationship work in real life as well as Kate and I did.

"I married my wife because I love her, not because I love fame, and that's the key to our relationship."

Chantelle has defended her relationship with the Ordinary Boys singer, saying: "It's so lonely when you first go into the Big Brother house that you can just pair off with anyone.

"It's only when you're outside the house that you can tell whether you'll work in the real world."
