Davina McCall shocked by CBB axe

Davina McCall is furious that Channel 4 did not tell her about their plans to axe Celebrity Big Brother, according to a report.

In an interview with Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles on Friday morning, the BB host indicated that the show would be returning in January. However, just a few hours later, it was announced that plans for a sixth celebrity series had been scrapped.

A source told The People: "Davina feels insulted. She expected to have been told before the announcement."

Channel 4's director of television and content Kevin Lygo has explained that the decision will help to "build anticipation" for next summer's series.
