Even we scoffed when the Pratts claimed that they were capable of being "the most famous people in the world" and giving the "biggest performances in the history of television" when they entered the house on launch night, but we never should have underestimated a man who once accused his in-laws of "emotional rape" in a screaming match at a 7-year-old's birthday party.
From the moment they were dumped into the basement by Rylan Clark and Frankie Dettori, Speidi were clearly on a mission to make life in the Celebrity Big Brother house as difficult as possible for their co-stars, a mission that has made for, in one way or another, jaw-dropping television. Their explosive return to the house on Friday after 48 hours secretly spying on the housemates was one of the first times in years that Big Brother became must-see TV.
But while some recognise that without Speidi this edition of Celebrity Big Brother would just be Claire from Steps sitting around picking her feet and Rylan flashing his bony bod at random intervals, others have been astounded and outraged by just how cruel and bitter the duo have shown themselves to be.
It seems that viewers are split right down the middle, with half happy to let Speidi play their role as chief stirrers of the house, as the other half look on in horror and wonder whether it's just all too much.
So, Heidi and Spencer - saviours of the series, or too vile for TV? You decide! Vote in our poll and leave your thoughts about Speidi in the comments below.
