Geordie Shore newcomer Ricci Guarnaccio has hit out at rival reality shows Desperate Scousewives and The Only Way Is Essex, describing them as "fake".

Guarnaccio made his debut in the MTV reality TV series last night (January 31) and spoke to Digital Spy at the cast screening in Newcastle.
"This series is going to blow you away, it's just so real. We're boxing it off. You are going to be in for a shock," said Ricci.
"Did you see TOWIE the other night? You thought it was boring? You hit the nail on the head. I really liked the first series with Mark Wright and all the big characters, but it just feels really forced now. It's just people doing this scene, the next scene and being placed everywhere.
"Geordie Shore is just us, having a great time and it's what really happens.
"I mean, Joey Essex is starting to be something he's not [in TOWIE], hanging around clubs trying to be really cool."
Mocking Channel 4's scripted reality series Desperate Scousewives, he added: "Everyone knows it's boring. Everyone who watched it agreed that it was rubbish."
Geordie Shore airs on Tuesday nights at 10pm on MTV.
