The Newcastle-based Jersey Shore adaptation pulled in 462,000 and an audience share of 2.7% last night (Tuesday) at 10pm, retaining a large chunk of the 500k who watched last week's opener.
Interestingly, the finale of The Paradise actually rose to 4.74m (18.9%) despite facing the might of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which maintained a strong 8.07m (32.2%) in the 9pm hour.
However, I'm a Celebrity - which added 733k on ITV1 +1 - declined over a million from yesterday. The reality show's ITV2 spinoff attracted 696k (4.1%).
MasterChef: The Professionals (3.08m/13.2%) soared to new heights on BBC Two at 8pm, after which Dara O'Briain's Science Club interested 1.36m (5.5%).
Jack Whitehall's Fresh Meat managed just 732k (4.2%) on Channel 4 at 10pm, but beat BBC Two's Later... with Jools Holland (702k/3.7%) and added 160k an hour later on +1.
George Clarke's Amazing Spaces was 4's most-watched broadcast of the night with 1.78m (7.6%) at 8pm (+1: 246k), while Heston's Fantastical Food continued with a fairly modest 1.04m (4.2%) from 9pm (+1: 251k/1.5%).
Rolf Harris's Animal Clinic took 1.29m (5.5%) for Channel 5 in the 8pm slot, before Body of Proof fetched 924k (3.7%) and 135k on timeshift.
Overall, BBC edged ITV1 in primetime with 21.1% versus 20.7% (+1: 1.3%). BBC Two earned third place with 7.6%, just ahead of Channel 4's 4.9% (+1: 0.8%, and Channel 5's 4% (+1: 0.3%).
