Katherine Jenkins has admitted that she will probably not return for another series of ITV's Popstar to Operastar.

The singer explained that she loved doing the show as she enjoys teaching classical music to new contestants, but that herself and fellow mentor Rolando Villazon are not fans of the show's huge time demands.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Jenkins explained: "I think it's too soon to talk about another series, but I feel like we probably won't do another one.

"Rolando and I talked about it and it takes up so much of our time. There are six weeks of shows, but we teach them for two months before, so it's a good three months of our time."

Jenkins added: "As much as we enjoyed it and agreed that it was such a good series, we'd like to leave it in a good place in people's minds."

X Factor champion Joe McElderry won the second series of the show back in July and has since gone on to release a new album titled Classic, which reached number two in the UK album chart.

Meanwhile, Jenkins is currently preparing to release her eighth studio album Daydream on October 10.
