Dannii Minogue will reportedly not feature on a UK version of The Voice, should it be picked up by the BBC.

Reports had previously suggested that the former X Factor judge could be among the mentors chosen to appear on a potential British edition of the competition, based on the Dutch format The Voice Of Holland.

The hit US version features Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who are currently whittling down their teams of eight chosen singers from the audition rounds.

However, it has now been claimed that Minogue, who announced that she was quitting her role on the ITV1 show earlier this month, will not be among the famous faces targeted to fill the UK positions.

"Dannii is so associated with The X Factor she wouldn't be right for us," a BBC insider told The Mirror.

A BBC spokesperson recently told Digital Spy that "no decision" has been made on whether the corporation will pick up a UK version of The Voice.
