The BBC's new singing talent series overlapped with the return of Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent at the weekend and both shows launched with huge ratings for the rival broadcasters.
Despite Got Talent picking up the highest ratings on the night, Digital Spy readers thought the BBC series was the superior programme.
Over 35,000 readers voted in our 'Which show is best?' poll and The Voice UK picked up 69% of the vote.
17.1% voted for Cowell's Got Talent, while 14.9% said that they loved both and couldn't choose between them.
Reader Phil Shipp said: "Enjoyed The Voice very much. Blind auditions is a brilliant format and puts forward the singing and not the appearance. Much more of a grown-up show and not insulting the people unlike X Factor and BGT.
"A completely refreshing show. Watch out Cowell, the BBC have a monster on their hands."
Fellow DS user Charles Trench said: "I chose The Voice. I watched both shows but after watching The Voice, I found it hard to enjoy BGT. It just showed people, as in previous years, getting ridiculed and put down in the public eye.
"The way Simon spoke about/to the gay dancing couple was just disgraceful in my opinion. It was quite hard to enjoy it after watching an inspiring show such as The Voice, which was full of complete talent. The Voice wins it by miles for me!"
Darren McCabe-Hay added: "The Voice was superb and who knew will.i.am had such a sense of humour? The coaches seemed to gel well too and with the exception of two short sob stories, it was about the voice first and foremost!"
However, there were some positive responses for the sixth run of Got Talent.
Ian Williams said: "I did get very bored after about half an hour [of The Voice]. I am no fan of Simon Cowell, but I started watching BGT (which I had Sky+'d so that I could fast forward the annoying ads and waffle), and found it infinitely more entertaining.
"The two men dancing, the welsh choir and the opera at the end made it totally worthwhile. I hate the fact that Cowell is on it, but I have to admit enjoying it more."
The Voice continues this Saturday (March 31) at 7pm on BBC One. It will overrun again with BGT, which airs at 8pm on ITV1.
