Viewers of the BBC One programme saw the coaches narrow their teams down from ten to five contestants over the weekend. However, ejected contestants Emmy J Mac, Ben Kelly and J Marie Cooper have since complained on Twitter about the show's editing process.

Jessie J posted a statement on her own Twitter page which read: "I am extremely proud of my final 10 artists on @BBCTheVoiceUK &I wish I could have taken more than 5 through to lives. (sic)
"I do not edit the show remember that & my decisions cannot reflect the opinion of everyone watching. I simply have to go with my heart & i'm aware not everyone will agree.
"I have spent a lot more time with all of them getting to know them& hearing them sing than the viewer gets to see. They will all do well. Whether they are in the live shows or not."
The Voice UK's live shows begin this Saturday (April 28) at 7pm on BBC One, when Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am's contestants will sing live for the first time.
