The sister show will provide viewers with behind-the-scenes gossip, exclusive interviews with the coaches and extra live performances from the finalists.

Ball stated: "I'm super excited to be involved in The Voice... Fans can think of me as the nosey, naughty one who can ask questions we all want answering by their favourite acts and, of course, Kylie, Tom, will.i.am and Ricky.

"I shall bring everyone a little closer to the action, and I promise not to sing!"

Wall to Wall's head of entertainment Moira Ross added: "Having a spinoff series for The Voice means we can give fans of the show unprecedented access to everything that goes on behind the scenes and tell the stories we don't have time to cover on BBC One."

Paloma Faith recently claimed she rejected an offer to replace Jessie J as a coach on The Voice.

The Voice UK continues on BBC One on Saturday evenings.
