Drinking Games: 'Mad Men'

BBC Four's Mad Men may be the most captivating and intriguing drama on TV right now, but bleeding heck it takes its time to get going doesn't it? While we're all for admiring the dramatic pauses, astounding scripts and stunning costumes, what we really want is answers! When is Don going to crack up? What makes sexy secretary Joan tick? And what the hell's going on with Betty and Pete? To figure out the answers, we asked ourselves, 'What would Donald Draper do?' Our answer: Get some bourbon and ice and play the latest DS drinking game.

Rule One - Every time one the guys pours themselves a drink in the office, down a shot.

Rule Two - Whenever Ken Cosgrove, Paul Kinsey or Roger Stirling make an inappropriate suggestive comment about a woman's curves/skirt/figure, polish off a whole pint.

Rule Three - Any time Pete Campbell gets snubbed/rejected at work, drink a swig of bourbon. If he responds by cheating on his wife and generally being a wally have a second swig.

Rule Four - After any lingering shot of Joan Hollaway's cleavage or bum, have a whiskey on the rocks.

Rule Five - Each time someone lights a cigarette, serve yourself a large glass of red wine. Make it two glasses if there's a reference to Lucky Strike!

Rule Six - Swig some Jack Daniels during any scene where there's an affair. Drink double if both characters are cheating.

Rule Seven - Down a tequila each time a former member of the Desperate Housewives cast pops up. e.g. Melinda McGraw, John Slattery, Mark Moses.

Rule Eight - Any time Don Draper comes home to his wife Betty and finds his dinner ready on the table, down a shot of whiskey.

Rule Nine - Keep drinking whenever there's a not-so-subtle hint at Salvatore Romano's sexual preferences.

Rule Ten - If you still want to be/marry/sleep with Don Draper after he behaves like a slimeball for the umpteenth time then finish off all the remaining booze.
