The 29-year-old had to be comforted by Nadia after John interrupted a tense religious debate between the pair to question the existence of God, arguing to devout Christian Makosi that there couldn't possibly be a higher being when there is so much suffering in the world.
"I really thought I upset you," a teary-eyed Makosi later confessed to the BB5 winner. "And when I was talking to John he sort of made me question who I am about so many things. John was saying to me that there's no God."
"That’s his opinion," Nadia argued. "You and I know there is something out there. We call it God, they call it something else."
Makosi continued: "He was so convincing, he just left me asking myself who I am. I don’t know what to do with myself.
"I'm trying to have fun, but I just can't. I feel like I'm on another planet. I feel like part of me is dying in this place. I miss everyone [on the outside]."
As Nadia convinced her that there were just as many people that would accept her religious beliefs instead of challenge them, Makosi admitted that she also feared the damage her infamous pool encounter with ex-housemate Anthony Hutton in BB6 could still do to her image.
"It’s not the Jacuzzi thing you’re here for, its because you’re Makosi, fabulous," Nadia insisted, adding that she should treat the incident as a life experience to learn from.
Makosi assured her she would not be repeating her scandalous behaviour in Ultimate Big Brother, explaining: "There's no-one to do it with now. If Stu [Wilson from BB5] was here, maybe. He was gorgeous, he would be the only one worth doing the same thing again."
