The 'I Luv U' singer exited the Diary Room earlier this afternoon carrying the confectioneries and a sick bucket and revealed to the inquisitive housemates that he had been given two hours in which to eat the entire box and avoid vomiting.
As Preston wandered into the garden and reminded Chantelle that he was sick for hours when he last attempted the task in their series, a sunbathing Nikki looked on jealously.
"Oh my God, I'd love that task," she declared, before realising the enormity of the challenge. "Don’t worry about it, seriously. Be sick and we can eat the chocolates. I hope you fail."
Preston then settled down for the long haul in a deck chair and commenced munching down the sugary treats, only stopping for a break after eating roughly a quarter of the 48 pieces in the box.
Retreating to the bedroom, he told a nearby Brian and Victor: "I'm just trying not to think of that [last time] because that's what's making me feel sick."
The Ordinary Boy then returned to the garden and continued his marathon feast in stages, while Nikki claimed that eating an entire box of chocolates in one sitting would be normal for some people she knows.
Eventually, around 90 minutes after first being set the task, Preston announced that he was on his final nine chocolates, receiving cheers of encouragement from his clearly impressed fellow housemates.
"Don't get sick," Brian ordered. "Do not get sick! But no pressure."
With his bucket between his legs, Preston eventually wolfed down the last of the chocolates to a round of applause from the rest of the group.
As he managed to last out the remainder of the two hour time limit without being sick, it is presumed that Preston passed his part of the nostalgic shopping task.
So far, Nick and Ulrika are the only other housemates to have been set a classic challenge from Big Brother history, a rendition of Ulrika's infamous duet of 'Endless Love' with CBB6 housemate Verne Troyer.
