The series 1 villain was called up on stage by Vanessa, the host of chat show Feltz, to endure a grilling about whether he is nasty or nice.
After a few questions of her own, she threw the floor open. "What the audience wants to know is, are you a bad guy?" she asked, before fielding questions from the rest of the group.
"How do you cope on a day-to-day basis with having the title of Nasty Nick?" asked Nikki. "I'm semi-deaf so I hardly hear the shouts these days, but it's a very good question, thank you," he replied.
Preston was next to volunteer a question, asking: "My question to you is, this festive season will you be donning an Aladdin costume, or will you be the villain [in a pantomime]?"
Nick declared that he has signed a confidentiality agreement, so was therefore unable to answer. "Give us a hint!" the audience started chanting, as he relented. "I'm going to be the hero this time."
Brian, who had taken on the role of floor manager, then brought over a metal contraption - the 'lie detector' machine - to fit over Nick's head, and he was forced to repeat five statements after Vanessa.
Firstly he had to repeat that his name is 'Nasty Nick Bateman' - which the machine deemed true.
Secondly, he was forced to say: "I used to be in the Territorial Army", a reference to one of the infamous lies he told during series 1. "You're a liar!" exclaimed Vanessa, as he failed the test.
"My ex-wife died in a car crash in Australia," was the third phrase he repeated. "It's another dastardly lie!" slammed the host, who next made him repeat "I once said, never tell the truth to a woman, ever." The machine showed that he was telling the truth.
The final test was for him to say "If you live by the sword you die by the sword", which came up as the truth on the lie detector.
"I think we've proven once and for all you don't have a good bone in your body. You truly are Nasty Nick!" declared Vanessa, cutting to an ad break as the audience applauded.
