The Celebrity Big Brother winner this afternoon told Ulrika and Brian in the bedroom that she can no longer keep the information to herself.
"Are you going to be honest with him about how you feel and stuff? Would you tell him stuff like that?" asked a wide-eyed Brian as they reclined on their beds.
"Oh yeah, absolutely, yeah. Everything," she replied.
"What if he says, 'Sorry, I'm not in that right place', would you get more upset?" Brian pressed.
"I just need to get it off my chest," Chantelle explained. "I think I've been so scared of shutting off and not showing people [how I feel]... I've been in the Diary Room and been really upset about it and then walk out and, like, try to act perfectly normal in front of him."
"That's a strain to keep that up all that time," said a sympathetic Ulrika.
Chantelle agreed, but added: "I've realised that you don't have to... be ashamed of how you're feeling, it's okay to let people know that you're upset."
When Brian asked her if the situation with Preston had been made worse by having neighbouring beds, she insisted that it was not a problem. "I don't think the bed's an issue, it could be in a different room and it would be the same," she said.
However, she later added that spending time with Preston has been the most positive part of her Ultimate Big Brother experience, despite the difficult feelings it has brought to the surface.
"This has been the best thing that I've done in the whole three years since splitting up with him," she said. "Just realising you have to deal with things, do you know what I mean? Instead of running away from it."
