"This is the second time we'll have been in the final together," began Preston. "How weird is that?"
His former wife admitted that it was indeed bizarre that they had shared such a unique experience twice over.
"I don't think I could have done it without you," she added, to his agreement. "No, it's so good having someone else here. I think so as well. Imagine if there was nobody here," he said.
"I don't think I could have lasted. I don't think I'd have done it without you," she repeated.
"Well I knew that you were doing it. I wouldn't have come otherwise. They wouldn't have wanted me to be here if you weren't here... There would have been no story," said Preston, before Chantelle told him that her mum would be looking forward to seeing him.
"We've done this twice together. It's crazy!" she re-iterated.
"Yeah, how many people get to do it once? Never mind do it twice... and twice with someone they want to do it with. No-one, really," he replied, asking: "What if we'd walked in and just argued?"
Chantelle was surprised by his suggestion. "But we'd never have been like that. We'd never have done that, ever. About what? Do you know what I mean?" she asked.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group were in the kitchen debating whether or not they could enter the bedroom and disturb the former couple's chat.
"I don't want to go in there by myself, it's awkward," worried Ulrika.
