The housemates spent most of the afternoon locked in the bedroom during rehearsals for tonight's finale, where a conversation about BB11's serial auditionee Mario strayed on to the Swedish presenter's own motivation for coming on the programme in 2009.
"They made me an offer I couldn’t refuse," Ulrika admitted. "It would have been wrong of me to said no. [It was] for the children, I had the responsibility."
The 43-year-old continued that she had originally considered reality TV to be for "has-beens that were desperate to rejuvenate their career" and had justified her previous appearance on Dancing On Ice with the promise of learning a new skill.
"But you could learn that at your local ice rink if you wanted to," Chantelle noted, before quickly adding: "I didn’t mean that sarcastically by the way."
Ulrika acknowledged Chantelle's comment and insisted that she had genuinely wanted to experience life in the Big Brother house also.
"I would never have done it if I absolutely hated it," she said. "I'm so interested in people, I've sat on my bed screaming at the TV in the series that I watched."
She added: "Not 'til I came in here did I realise how amazingly honoured I should be that I’d been asked."
