The CBB4 star looked sullen and downcast as she watched herself shedding tears over Preston in her best bits, prompting Davina to warn her that much of the interview would be focused on Preston.
"I mean I know it's daft to ask but it must have just been hellish for you," Davina commented, to Chantelle's agreement.
"My head was a complete mess. I was up and down, up and down. It's just a sad, sad situation and I don't think I realised how said it was 'til I spent so much time with him."
Chantelle also expressed her surprise at discovering that Davina knew she had revealed her feelings to Preston earlier today, gasping: "Oh God, I didn't think we were being properly filmed!"
Explaining her decision to confess all, she said: "While we were in the house, I didn't want him to know I was upset because I didn't want to burden him with that. But I couldn't have him come out and do his interview without knowing.
"I feel like I've come full circle. I feel like I went in there, met him... it's a different outcome now. Obviously, we're not gonna be together."
The crowd groaned at Chantelle's summation of the situation, as Davina said that she and all Ultimate Big Brother viewers were willing for them to get back together.
"I bet whatever comes out of it in some way you can move on," Davina predicted, after Chantelle said that the former couple would have a frank discussion about their feelings tomorrow.
"I do think I'll be able to do that now," the finalist agreed. "You know what girls are like, we're just unlucky in love, meet the wrong men."
Davina then brought up another one of Chantelle's potential BB suitors, early walker Coolio.
"He played his part in there, I just got on with him," she explained. "He's so much fun, he’s Coolio ain't it, do you know what I mean?"
"I love you baby!" the 'Gangsta's Paradise' singer shouted over from the ex-housemates' pen.
Chantelle closed the interview by commenting on the remaining two housemates, saying that she thought Nikki had "really grown up" and naming Brian as her choice to win.
