The journalist called Victor, Calista and Latoya to the Diary Room before inviting Amy, Nathan and Liam to follow suit.
The two sets of housemates were then taken to a Task Room, where they were pitted against one another in a debate on current affairs dubbed 'The Big Brother Debate Show'.
"But, before we kick off," announced Street-Porter, "I'm going to give you a few points. I will be chairing the debate and as you've already worked out, I have a short attention span and I don't like waffle.
"Remember you're acting as teams, but you will be speaking individually."
Street-Porter refereed over proceedings and introduced the topics of conversation, starting with the role of closed-circuit cameras in Britain.
Victor, Calista and Latoya were told to argue for the use of CCTV, while Amy, Nathan and Liam were asked to present the case against.
The debate became heated as the housemates warmed to the task, with Amy seeming especially eager to impress the new hijacker with her skills.
The topic soon changed to the role of celebrity in modern Britain, before Street-Porter initiated a women versus men debate.
As she called an end to the task, Street-Porter hailed the six housemates, concluding: "You all did really well. I wasn't bored. I can't praise you enough."
