Joan Rivers scares the housemates

American comedienne Joan Rivers hijacked the house this lunch time, scaring the housemates as she launched straight in with her brash attitude.

Earlier in the day Jeremy guessed that today's celebrity was going to be Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, but he got a surprise when Joan's voice beamed over the tannoy: "This is going to be a day when I decide who stays and who goes, very much like my wedding night... I hope you all came equipped with birth control, because someone's gonna get fucked!"

She then told Victor off for not having his microphone on, telling him: "This show's not hard.. all you've got to do is show up and eat."

The circus performer remarked: "I'm scared. She's more scary than Andy McNab and he's an ex-SAS soldier."

Joan was kinder to Jay, whom she asked to smile and informed the designer: "You're the only reason why I'm here. I watched some of it and said 'Jay's my boy'."

But she grew impatient again as everyone was kept waiting for Anthony, who was in the middle of shaving his hair off. Joan sniped: "There's 11 of us just waiting for Anthony? Is he rich?"
