The presenter described reports of poor ratings for the E4 Celebrity Big Brother spin-off as "unfair".
Speaking at Sony's Brits party at the Park Lane Hilton, he told Metro: "I didn't feel like it deserved the flack from the press that it got this year.
"It really p****d me off how it was compared to when the series was on Channel 4. That's like comparing a corner shop to a Sainsbury's. It just wasn't fair."
However, he was unsure whether a second run would be a good idea, saying: "I don't know if there should be another one, maybe not. Maybe. We shall wait and see."
Fellow host Davina McCall said she had "nothing to do with" last month's show and took "no responsibility for it".
She added: "We'll be back with Big Brother this year. Big Brother's not finished yet."
