'EastEnders', 'Doctor Who', Muppets for Children in Need 2011

EastEnders castmembers, Lord Alan Sugar, and Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are among the stars set to appear in this year's Children in Need broadcast.

Favourite faces from the BBC One soap will lead the appeal night with a musical tribute to Queen in Albert Square, while Sugar ditches the Apprentice boardroom to pitch in the Dragons' Den in a special segment.

Reeves and Mortimer, meanwhile, have filmed several sketches for the telethon and Russell Howard will bring more laughs with a special edition of his Good News programme.

Doctor Who fans can also expect a teaser of the upcoming Christmas special during the November 18 show.

Celebrities including Harry Hill, Davina McCall, Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen will join The Muppets for a star-studded rendition of 'Manah, Manah', while the child stars of sitcom Outnumbered will cover 'Hey Hey We're the Monkees'.

Children in Need stalwarts The Newsreaders, aka Emily Maitlis, Sophie Raworth, Susanna Reid and Sian Williams, will return for a new challenge, as they attempt to impress the Strictly Come Dancing judges in the ballroom.

One Direction, Susan Boyle, JLS and Westlife are among the night's musical highlights, and the Gary Barlow-led Children in Need collective will perform the charity's official single 'Teardrop'.

This year's Children in Need show includes appeal films from Kylie Minogue, Jessie J and Cheryl Cole. Sir Terry Wogan, Tess Daly, Fearne Cotton and Alesha Dixon will take on presenting duties.
