Despite a mixed critical response to its first season, the sci-fi show has proved a ratings hit for NBC in the US. It returns for the second half of its first season on March 25 in the US, following a four-month hiatus.

The series centres on a post-apocalyptic America that has mysteriously lost all electrical power.
