“ Tube Talk ”
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!! If you don't want to be majorly spoiled about what's happening in Desperate Housewives later this season, look away now (perhaps go read our interview with Will Mellor instead?)
OK, in this season's 18th episode - airing in the US on March 22 and on Channel 4 at the end of April - we see what happens when Mike and Katherine head off on a camping trip with Dave.
Here they are, on the trip - happy times!
It's all going well... but then - oh yes, easily forgotten - Dave is a psychopath.
It would be easy to assume that he's about to shoot poor Katherine but to put this in context, in the prior two episodes we see Edie finally starting to piece together just how mentally unstable her hubby is.
In the episode after the camping trip, Edie is described as being in a "critical condition" in hospital. And later on in the same episode - last chance to go read Will Mellor here - she dies, surrounded by all the housewives.
Would it be a reasonable assumption to conclude that deranged Dave actually shoots his own wife?

I think Edie will be trying to help Katherine and get shot in the process. Despite being a little psychotic, I don't think he would purposely shoot Edie unless he felt he really needed to get her out of the way.
