'Made in Chelsea' gets three series renewal, to stay on air til 2014

Made in Chelsea has been commissioned for a further three series.

Following the highest rated series yet, E4's BAFTA-winning reality programme will remain on air until at least the end of 2014.

"Following an unmissable series five and a BAFTA award, we're delighted to be able to show our commitment with a three series deal," said Dominic Bird, Channel 4's head of formats.

"We look forward to following the lives and loves of the Chelsea set over the next year."

Sarah Dillistone, executive producer for Monkey Kingdom, added: "I'm delighted that we've been re-commissioned for a further three series.

"All the cast are hugely excited, and we'll also be introducing some new faces to the show who promise to bring even more drama to SW3 over the next year and a half."

Made in Chelsea originally premiered on May 2011 and has been E4's biggest non-scripted success, trending worldwide on Twitter and regularly becoming the most watched programme on 4oD.

The show's fifth series - which aired between April and June of this year - pulled in a series average of 1.1m viewers.

The sixth series of Made in Chelsea will debut on E4 on Monday, October 14 at 10pm.
