Coronation Street star Malcolm Hebden has ruled out appearing on a reality TV show.

The 69-year-old actor, who plays Norris Cole on the ITV1 soap, revealed that he may have considered competing on Strictly Come Dancing in the past but now feels that his body isn't "up to it".

Speaking to DS, he explained: "That's the only one I would have done - none of the others.

"I have danced a bit - I used to be able to do that sort of thing but the physicality of it... I did the charity one two or three years ago and that nearly finished me off. Physically it's just very, very demanding."

Hebden started playing Norris in 1994 following a long-running career in theatre.
