Kym Marsh 'envious of Wallace role'

Kym Marsh has revealed that she would have loved Jessie Wallace's role in BBC Four's drama about the origins of Coronation Street.

The actress admitted in her New magazine column that she is a fan of the Eastenders actress who will appear in the one-off drama as Pat Phoenix.

"I really rate Jessie as an actress and I think she'll pull it off perfectly," she said.

"Having said that, if I wasn't in Corrie, I would have loved that role!"

Wallace was recently pictured in her role as the Elsie Tanner actress during filming in Manchester.
