The Coronation Street stars - who play Tina McIntyre and Jason Grimshaw in the soap - will fly to Kenya to visit struggling families to raise awareness about HIV in the country, according to The People.
The trip will be part of Corrie Goes to Kenya, a documentary to be screened on ITV1 in July.
A production source said: "This trip will be a real eye-opener. The cast will come face to face with people whose lives could not be more different from their own.
"When you talk to people affected by these problems, the impact is huge. And the Corrie stars are desperate to help in any way that they can."
Michelle Keegan recently cancelled her engagement with The Wanted's Max George, but the pair remain in a relationship.
